come on over vol.2| pieces of HOME

road trip

frieeeeends! here we are again on the right side of Saturday as summer sweetly lingers. AND with a three day weekend for many as well as the start of the school year. whew September is coming in hot & heavy.

speaking of hot & heavy, if you love nostalgia and good music you better be getting down like our parents did and be blasting EWF’s September all month long. dancing in September, indeed. and y’all already know how I feel about a good dance party. speaking of dancing, I was recently in Las Vegas with my mom (her first time visiting). we saw Purple Reign which is a Prince tribute show and I highly recommend checking out shows if you’re not in Vegas looking to party into the wee hours.

although I suppose pink is really the color of the moment right now…speaking of pink-my mom bought me this dope blouse I’m planning on wearing to Harry Styles‘ LA concert in a couple of weeks. if you love me, feel free to send me some extra $$ so I can buy some dope merch to hang in my apartment as if I’m not a 27 year old grown adult. #foreveryoung the cherry on top is the vegan cherry chocolate chip ice cream from Trader Joe’s. I’m going vegetarian/vegan until I head to Vegas for the Life is Beautiful festival just to see how my body reacts. I learned a lot by doing the Whole 30 so I’m curious!

come see how well I do on my IG stories and look for weekly updates to come!

for my friends who love a good list:
LISTEN: September by Earth, Wind & Fire
ATTEND: Purple Reign in Las Vegas
WEAR: Floral Embroidery Shirt from Zara
FANGIRL: Harry Styles
EAT: Soy Creamy Cherry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream from Trader Joe’s
DONATE: Please join me in keeping those affected by Hurricane Harvey in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s partner those prayers with action by donating to some organizations that are supporting relief in that area. One such organization is GlobalGiving. Additionally, please include India, Bangladesh & Nepal in your prayers and support efforts. Two places to consider donating are Save the Children and OXFAM.
